Before your first sale on Forest Island

The September 6 walkthrough describes an opening task involving three clams and a sale to Fisherman Joe. Cooking is its advice for increasing sale value—not proof of an extra mandatory quest condition.

If that clam objective is active in your session:

  1. Collect three clams from the Forest Island beach.
  2. Take the items you intend to sell to the campfire. The walkthrough describes placing catches on the fire before selling them.
  3. Look for the cooking confirmation and the value shown for the item.
  4. Sell to Fisherman Joe using the interaction displayed in your game, then check the objective and your cash balance.

Collecting, cooking and selling are separate steps. A collected item is not a completed sale, and a cooking notification is not a sale receipt.

Why your payout may differ from a guide

The walkthrough reports a cooked Clam at $2 and individual cooked Carp examples at $8 and $11. These are recorded examples, not a verified current price list. Two observations do not establish a minimum, maximum or guaranteed average.

Check the amount displayed for your own item before planning your next purchase. If a cooking message is missing, check the item and current prompts; a missing notification alone does not identify the cause.

Next: check bait, weapon cards and upgrade prices.

Build a routine you can verify

Repeat a small collection, cooking and sale cycle before committing to a longer trip. This is an editorial suggestion to learn the steps, not a measured fastest-money strategy. No hourly earnings, multipliers or guaranteed price table are established here.

Before heading farther out

The same walkthrough describes drivable boats, a distance-to-Forest-Island GPS readout and a next-island marker. It does not establish a complete unlock route.

Our orientation checklist:

  • Find your current objective before choosing a destination.
  • Locate where you will return to sell before leaving the beach.
  • Use visible location labels to keep track of your route.
  • Do not treat a next-island marker as proof that all prerequisites are complete.

Quick answers

Is this a complete island map?

No. It is a first-stop checklist based on the reported opening area, without coordinates or a verified route to every island.

Should I expect identical fish to sell for the same amount?

Use the amount shown for your own catch. The available examples do not establish a universal value or the formula behind it.
